1. Who operates this site

This website, arkans.ca, is operated by Arkans Corporation, based in Ontario, Canada, operating publicly as “Arkans”. For anything related to this policy, contact hello@arkans.ca.

2. What we collect

• Contact details you provide, such as your name, email address, and phone number.
• Business details, such as your business name, city, business type, and your website or Google listing URL.
• Payment and billing information, collected and processed by Stripe. Arkans does not store full card numbers.
• Site analytics collected through Vercel Web Analytics, which is designed to work without tracking cookies.
• Form submissions made through Tally.
• Emails you send us, handled through our email provider, Purelymail.
• Lead form submissions made on client websites we host — such as the name, contact details, and message of a person requesting a quote or booking — which we process in order to deliver them to the business owner.
• Owner notification details clients give us, such as the email address or phone number where a client wants lead alerts sent.
• Where a client takes part in an optional goodwill review request flow, past customer contact details the client chooses to provide so that review requests can be sent on the client’s behalf.

3. Why we use it

• To respond to preview requests and questions.
• To provide, maintain, and support the services.
• To deliver lead notifications from a client’s website to the contact details the client has designated.
• To send review requests on a client’s behalf, only where the client takes part in the optional goodwill review request flow.
• To process payments and manage billing.
• To keep business and accounting records.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.

4. Client responsibilities for the information clients provide

Clients are responsible for having the right or permission to provide the personal information they share with us — including owner notification contacts and, where applicable, past customer contact details for the goodwill review request flow — and for making sure any review requests sent on their behalf are lawful under applicable Canadian privacy and anti-spam law. We use that information only to provide the services described above.

5. Third-party processors

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate, and personal information is shared with them only as needed to provide the services:

• Tally — form submissions.
• Stripe — payments and billing.
• Vercel — website hosting and analytics.
• Purelymail — email.
• Email, SMS, and notification delivery providers — used to send lead alerts to clients and, where applicable, review requests on a client’s behalf.

Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy. Some providers may store data outside Canada.

6. No sale of personal information

We do not sell personal information.

7. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, while responding to a request, while an engagement is active, or as required for legal, tax, and accounting records — and then delete or de-identify it within a reasonable time.

8. Safeguards

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to a small service business, including access limited to the people who need it, reputable providers, and standard security features such as encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Access and correction

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Send requests to hello@arkans.ca and we will respond within a reasonable time.

10. Canadian privacy law

We aim to handle personal information in a manner consistent with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario law. If you have a concern we have not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the date above.
